Dr. Natasha Collia M.D.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

Dr. Collia is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Doctor and Simulation Educator at the Hospital for Sick children. When Dr. Collia isn’t working shifts in the ER, she can be found improving Pediatric Trauma management training, Pediatric procedural skills workshops, improving the educational experience of trainees rotating through the ER and being a member of the hospital Peer Support Group.

Most recently she has started her own IG LIVE Series called: Physicians in Living Rooms, providing open discussions on hot topics involving other pediatric specialists with the goal of coaching parents on how to be the best advocate for their children.

Dr. Robert Titzer

Infant Researcher

Dr. Robert Titzer has a grand vision of making the world a better place by helping parents develop their young children’s early learning abilities. Dr. Titzer created the Your Baby Can Learn!, Your Child Can Read!, and Your Baby/Child Can Discover! programs. He developed prototype versions of these programs for his two daughters more than 20 years ago.

After earning his teaching credentials from San Diego State University, Titzer taught in public schools on Guam and in California. Titzer completed a Master of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Human Performance from Indiana University, where he worked in infant development laboratories conducting important theoretical experiments related to infant learning. Titzer has conducted research in laboratories around the country and taught at several universities.

Dr. Titzer has become a recognizable expert in the area of infant learning and his work has been published in scientific journals including the prestigious Psychological Review. Titzer has given talks about early learning on five continents, speaking with tens of thousands of parents around the world. He demonstrates fun learning activities that parents can do with infants and toddlers to stimulate brain development. Dr. Titzer has appeared on thousands of TV programs and networks, including SKY TV, Good Morning America, The Richard & Judy Show, and Prime Time Morning on Channel News Asia among many others.

Dr. Titzer is trying to change the way societies around the world view early literacy and early learning.

Childbirth Educator and Perinatal Support Worker
 
Virginia Collins is a childbirth educator and Perinatal Support Worker who began her career in healthcare in 1981. Since then, she has held many positions including; physician assistant, perinatal bereavement facilitator, clinical research coordinator (women’s reproductive health), curriculum developer, childbirth educator, PNSW educator and labour/birth support. In addition to this she is a business owner, wife, mother and grandmother. 

Virginia will be part of the Pregnancy Panel on March 6, 2021 @ 9:15 am.

Cheyenne Scarlett, MA ECS, BCD, ECE, C-CBE

Childbirth Educator
 
Cheyenne is a childbirth educator with a background in child development. She recently completed her master’s research on the childbirth experience of Black women in the GTA. She also has a diploma in Early childhood education, a bachelor’s degree in child development and is a certified childbirth educator. Cheyenne has 3 children of her own and has a special interest in how the childbirth experience contributes to parenting and attachment.
